I had a mixed experience at The Royale Chulan Hyde Park Hotel. The location was fantastic and the staff were generally friendly and helpful. but the room itself was quite dated and some features didn't work as advertised.

Rooms
5.0
The room was clean, but felt cramped and outdated. The bathroom was exceptionally small with limited drying space. plus, there was an odd room layout with a tiny cupboard. I found it hard to get a good night's sleep due to a really uncomfortable mattress.
Service
5.0
The reception staff were polite and available 24/7. yet interactions felt somewhat lacking in customer focus, as I often had to initiate conversations myself. They were accommodating when I had issues with my first room, so I appreciated their efforts.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location was a major highlight for me. It was within walking distance of two tube stations and surrounded by plenty of restaurants, shops, and supermarkets. making it convenient for getting around London.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast options were limited and quite basic. I found it preferable to grab food and eat in my room, as the breakfast area felt cramped.
Facilities
5.0
The kitchenette had the potential to be useful with a fridge and stove, but I was disappointed by the lack of proper cooking utensils. plus, there was no air conditioning, which could have made my stay more comfortable given the unusually warm weather.

7.0/10

Staying at The Royale Chulan Hyde Park was a mixed bag for me. While the location was fantastic and the staff super helpful, the room situation left a lot to be desired. I noticed some key issues like the small bathroom and the lack of proper amenities, which made my stay less enjoyable than I had hoped.

Rooms
5.0
I had some serious issues with my room, like a broken hairdryer and a narrow bathroom that made things awkward. The lack of air conditioning made for a hot experience in a basement room with no windows.
Service
8.0
The staff here were pretty nice and helpful, always ready to assist with my questions and giving good vibes throughout my stay.
Location
8.0
The location was spot on; I could easily walk to Hyde Park and other attractions around the area without breaking a sweat.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was a little boring with just cereal and toast, and I had to commit to a time slot for it. So, not great, but it did the job to start my mornings.
Facilities
5.0
Housekeeping did a decent job keeping everything clean, but the overall facilities felt like they could use some upgrades to meet modern standards.

5.8/10

My stay at The Royale Chulan Hyde Park Hotel had its ups and downs. The location near Hyde Park was fantastic, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. However, I found the room quite small and the bathroom even more so, along with some cleanliness issues. Overall, it was an affordable option but not without drawbacks.

Rooms
6.0
The room was tidy, but very small with a cramped bathroom. It could use some freshening up, as there were grubby marks on walls. I did appreciate the cleanliness overall, but the size was a big drawback.
Service
8.0
I cannot praise the staff enough; they were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. They truly made the stay enjoyable, despite some of the hotel's shortcomings.
Location
9.0
The location was definitely a highlight—close to Hyde Park and only a five-minute walk to Queensway tube station. I felt safe walking around at night and appreciated the access to public transport.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was decent but basic. There wasn’t a lot of variety, and some food options didn’t cater to allergies. It was good enough to start the day, but more selections would have been welcome.
Facilities
5.0
While the hotel was clean, I did encounter some issues with noise from the ventilation system and other guests. It's worth noting the elevator was out of service during my stay, which was a hassle on the upper floors.

7.4/10

I had a mixed experience at The Royale Chulan Hyde Park Hotel. The location was fantastic, being close to Hyde Park and a variety of restaurants, which I loved. However, the room was a bit cramped and the amenities were lacking; there were some issues like no soap or extra towels and a mini kitchen that really needed some serious attention. Overall, it had its perks, but it definitely wasn't a luxury stay as advertised.

Rooms
5.0
The room was small and felt outdated. There was a kitchenette, but the burners were in bad shape, and the faucet was wobbly. Plus, I had issues with the bed sheets not fitting right, which was pretty annoying.
Service
5.0
The reception staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, which was a nice touch. However, there were times when issues like the air conditioning weren’t dealt with as quickly as I would’ve liked.
Location
6.0
The location was definitely the highlight of my stay. It was in a vibrant neighborhood, just a short walk from the tube and Hyde Park, with plenty of places to eat nearby.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were pretty basic. Breakfast was limited to just bread and boiled eggs every day, which got old fast. Plus, a restaurant in the hotel would have been nice.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel could use a serious upgrade in facilities. The shower was tiny, and there was a lack of toiletries, which impacted my overall comfort during the stay.

7.2/10

My stay at The Royale Chulan Hyde Park Hotel was mixed. The location was fantastic, near Hyde Park and great transport links. However, the room was quite small and had some noise issues. Breakfast options were basic, but it served my needs just fine. Overall, it felt like decent value for the price, but with a few drawbacks.

Rooms
6.0
The room was small and located on the basement level, which made it a bit noisy since I could hear sounds from the kitchen and plumbing. Despite being clean, the bathroom was very compact, making movement difficult. I appreciated the small kitchenette, but the comfort level of the bed was not ideal.
Service
6.0
The reception staff was decent, though I wished for a warmer welcome. They were, however, helpful in addressing my concerns effectively when I experienced issues with noise. Overall, the staff was nice and willing to assist when needed.
Location
8.0
I couldn't have asked for a better location - it was just a short walk to transport options like the tube, and there were plenty of restaurants and shops nearby to explore. Being close to Hyde Park was a good bonus, perfect for leisurely strolls.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was quite basic, consisting mainly of toast, cereal, and a limited selection of hot food. It was adequate for a quick meal, but I found it a bit underwhelming considering there weren't many fresh options. Nonetheless, it was not a bad price.
Facilities
6.0
Housekeeping was thorough and kept the place tidy. The limited breakfast area felt cramped, requiring reservations, which made planning a bit tricky. The kitchenette offered essential amenities, but more could elevate the experience.
